10 things our kids will never understand…
My friend is a primary school teacher and one day a kid bought in a VHS tape for show and tell and was like “this is what they used to watch in the olden days and you can only watch it once” cause he didnt understand that you just have to rewind it hahahahhaha
Um exweese me, but you can still buy tangible music with liner notes and read the lyrics while you listen to the album for the first time. #facts

"Me, Jack and Alison on the set of the ‘Treat Me Like Your Mother’ music video. Alison is a little bloody." - Brandy St. John
Ryan Adams - “New York, New York”
I remember the first time I saw this video on MTV. It was only days after September 11th. Maybe a week, I can’t be certain. But my heart leapt in my throat, and back came the tears. Because there they were. Like everything that had happened was one long, terrible nightmare.
This video is a time capsule to the world before everything turned to shit. When things didn’t seem so complicated, and the world didn’t seem so fucked. I graduated from high school in 2001. I was only in my first few weeks of college when those planes blackened the sky.
Things weren’t perfect before then, but for my generation, the day those towers fell, we lost our innocence. There is only before and after.
