wallowseaofsorrow:

It’s April 5th now. And in all honesty, my heart feels broken and sad. It is the 11th year since Layne hasn’t been here. But I feel sad everyday knowing Layne is not here. I am also filled with joy that this man has brought me. Words cannot explain my passion and love for this man. He is/was the most amazing vocalist ( in my opinion). I didn’t really want to write something long about Layne on this day knowing it would just upset me but, I just have to. I think about Layne everyday and listen to the amazing music he made with Jerry, Sean, Mike (Starr) and Mike (Inez). Along with Mad Season. I have felt much inspiration because of him. And it is truly heartbreaking knowing such an amazing person is gone. And it doesn’t matter that I have never met Layne or saw Alice in Chains live while he was still alive. Layne is an angel. You will always be in our hearts. You will never be forgotten. You will always be remembered. You are our God Am.

I know you finally found your inner peace. I know you are also resting in peace.
